Importance of and reason why i chose climate change
I am interested in climate change because it most directly affects my generation and my kids’ generation the most.
While reading the New York times I read that climate change could soon cause a huge economic collapse and banks are not ready for the imminent effects, and the European central bank is already taking steps towards a green future trying to only invest in companies that have lower carbon dioxide emissions. This subject is possibly the most relevant and important to discuss because like I said previously the potentially catastrophic events that could take place will affect my generation and our kids more than the adults. We are the victims of years of negligence. Most of my group members are majoring in fields that are involved in the health field so we will most likely look into different aspects of health effects and different causes and effects. We all agree that is important and should be at the forefront of our government’s agenda. Many people do not realize but we do not have nearly as much tie to reverse the effects as many people seem to think. There is a reason why the main people fighting back and looking to make changes is the younger generation and the ones who seem stuck on the idea that nothing is wrong and there is no problem and the older generation who will not have to deal with the consequences of there actions.
